The 2009 Penn State Heroes Award is the first annual
award for Penn State Alumni who provide an extraordinary service to
their community
 The
2009 Penn State Heroes Award is awarded to Lisa Katz and Kate Rosenthal
for their hard work co-founding Amy's Army. Their work, as well as the
work of everyone in the organization, is extremely inspiring and much
appreciated. Because of Amy's Army, lives have been saved and many people
are now aware of the importance of joining the national registry.
