A Message from the President

Dear Fellow Penn Staters:

I would like to thank all of our members for making the 07-08 perhaps the most successful ever in our history of far as growth. We held an amazing 37 events. This year we will continue to provide you with many social, networking and community service options.

For those who attended our 110th Chapter birthday party at PNC Park - thank you for making this historic event a night to remember. For those who could not attend we announced some exciting changes in your Chapter. Due to our expansion and to better serve the entire Pittsburgh region we have changed our Chapter name from the Allegheny County Chapter to the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter.

Moving forward, we have a lot of wonderful events and activities planned for the 08-09 year, including the continuation of our monthly happy hours. We will rotate these around the Pittsburgh region in order to better serve our membership as well as try out some exciting new venues.

Football game watches will be here in the fall. We rotate these locations based on where a majority of our members reside in order to maximize attendance and make the game watches an awesome atmosphere. We also select establishments that we make sure are “Penn State friendly” in order that our members receive the attention they deserve.

I ask that all of our members spread the word about our Chapter to other Penn State alumni and fans and also spread the news about our new website.

Who Can Join?

This question is simple. Anyone can join! Even if you never attended Penn State and are just a fan of this great school, you can join the chapter and take advantages of all of the events the Chapter provides.
