As the oldest Chapter in the Penn State Alumni system (founded in 1898), the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter is one of the most active groups at Penn State. We provide our members many social and network events, from great family events to Penn State football game watch parties for EVERY GAME. As a member you will receive invitations to over 25 events per year.
In addition to social opportunities, we are very active in Community Service and with our scholarship, which benefits a local student yearly.
Our signature event, Lion Fest, is held every summer as a kickoff to our new year. We have had some great Penn State legends since the inaugural event in 2007, including Blair Thomas, Kenny Jackson, Tom Bradley, Roger Williams, Jay Paterno, Frank Coonelly, Joe Batista, and Shane Conlan. This has become a “can’t miss event” and I hope everyone can attend our next Lion Fest in 2012.
I invite all Penn State alumni and friends to come to one of our events and experience the passion of Penn State right in your back yard.
