Chappie Hill Memorial Scholarship

2007 Chappie Hill Memorial Scholarship Awarded
to Rebecca Kovel

The Greater Pittsburgh Chapter is pleased to announce that the 2007 Chappie Hill Memorial Scholarship winner is Rebecca Kovel. Rebecca is a senior in the Shreyers Honors College at University Park double-majoring in Supply Chain & Information Systems and Physical Sciences. She will be graduating with honors in Chemistry in May.

Outside the classroom, Rebecca is busy with athletics, work and community service. She is a two-year member of the highly ranked Penn State Club Travel Tennis Team and she also works as a Penn State tutor in Chemistry. A standout in terms of community service, Rebecca's dedication is best exemplified by her leadership role in organizing a charity golf tournament this past summer that raised over $11,000 for a domestic abuse shelter.

After graduation, Rebecca is planning to combine her business and science majors by working in a Supply Chain position at a chemical or pharmaceutical company.
