Chappie Hill Memorial Scholarship
2008 Chappie Hill Memorial Scholarship Awarded
to T.C. Tanski
The
winner of the 2008 PSAA-GPC Chappie Hill Memorial Scholarship is Theodore
Charles (T.C.) Tanski. T.C. is a senior at University Park majoring
in Health Policy and Administration, minoring in Sociology, graduating
in May.
An active member of the Penn State community T.C. serves
as an undergraduate TA. Additionally, T.C. is President of Penn State’s
Archousai Chapter of Mortar Board, a national senior honor society.
Since Mortar Board’s establishment in 1918, there are 226 chartered
chapters across the nation. Recently the Archousai Chapter raised funds
and donated to First Book, a charity that provides reading materials
to under-served areas.
In the Greater Pittsburgh Area, T.C. has volunteered
with UPMC St. Margaret’s, Sunrise Assisted Living, and spoken
as an advocate on behalf of the Western PA Alzheimer’s Association.
After graduation, T.C. will be attending law school and hopes to practice
in the area of health law litigation.
